I'm surprised professional hot mess Lindsay took so long to strip off for Playboy

We’ve all seen a lot of Lindsay Lohan over the past few months, with the ‘actress’ being in and out of court regarding various probation violations (if Lindsay decided to have another stab at a pop career, this could be one of her singles?) over the last few months.

But we’re about to see a lot more of 25-year-old Lindsay, with the star (using the term very lightly) agreeing to strip nude for Playboy. According to LOHAN, Lindsay turned down $750,000 and said she’d only take her clothes off for one million dollars.

Playboy are said to have agreed to the monster fee, although Lindsay’s rep is refusing to comment on the deal (let’s face it, that means it’s true - she’d deny it otherwise).

Although we think it’s a good move for Lindsay – in the absence of any movie offers, she needs to take anything she can get if she wants to stay in the limelight – we’re surprised that Playboy have agreed to pay her so much money.

Lindsay has already got her boobs out on a variety of occasions. Sure, she’s never posed topless in a shoot, but she’s certainly had a number of bikini accidents and unfortunate run ins with flash bulbs while going braless in t-shirts. Combine that with her fondness for displaying a large amount of sideboob in baggy tops and we can all conjure up a pretty good image of Lindsay’s birthday suit.

But fair play to her for landing such a great deal, she certainly needs the money to fuel her Hollywood lifestyle. Lindsay is continuing to live the lavish lifestyle (minus a few jail stints) of a star, despite failing to attract new projects.
She hasn’t played a lead role in a decent film for years, with 2009’s Labor Pains going straight to DVD and rumours surrounding her part as porn star Linda Lovelace in Inferno fizzling out at some point last year. Lindsay is still referred to as ‘Mean Girls actress’ – her most recent success when she was at her very best… in 2004… filmed when Lindsay was just 18.

You’d be mistaken for thinking that Lindsay had been ditched by various movies as a result of her problems with drugs, but that isn’t really the case. Plenty of stars have stints in rehab and get their careers back on track. No, Lindsay suffers from chronic laziness.
For some unknown reason Lindsay just can’t be bothered to do anything properly – to see things through. She can’t be arsed to turn up to appointments and when she does she’s late, she changes her mind, fails to get passionate about anything other than partying and generally makes everyone else feel like they’re not as important as she is. Quite simply, no one wants to work with her – she’s too much trouble.

Instead, Lindsay is being forced to rely on her ‘business skills’, appearing to time various photoshoots around her court appearances, striking deals when she knows she’ll be in the limelight the most. Take July 2010, for example, when Lindsay served a couple of weeks in jail followed by a stint in rehab. She was in the spotlight more than ever before, so made damn sure that she posed for as many photoshoots as possible before she got locked up in the slammer. Not a bad plan – we certainly lapped it all up.

Even this summer, when under house arrest in Venice Beach, Lindsay invited any old film crew to come in and use her for work. She even recorded this advert for penny auction site Beezid! Beezarre, more like.
Yes, it’s safe to say that Lindsay has done a very good job of doing as little as possible. She dug her nails into fame with the release of Parent Trap at aged 11 and has refused to let go ever since, scratching around for anything that involves lots of money and little work. Playboy is right up her street – we’re surprised it took her this long. Forget the acting and the short lived singing career (she had an album called Speak in 2004, we’d forgotten too) – these days Lindsay Lohan is a professional hot mess. And very good at it she is too.

Playboy’s Lindsay Lohan: Screw Up Or Pin Up?
Playboy’s Lindsay Lohan: Screw Up Or Pin Up?
It’s hard to remember now, but there was once a time when Lindsay Lohan was primarily known as an actress. And, by all accounts, a pretty good one. For a moment she was even mentioned in the same breath as Jodie Foster, who successfully negotiated the pressures of child stardom and managed to build a double Oscar-winning career on the back of her precocious performances. It didn’t hurt that Lohan even took on one of Foster’s early breakthrough roles, when she starred in the remake of Disney’s Freaky Friday.
Perky and fresh-faced, rather than classically beautiful, the pretty redhead notched up a series of admittedly undemanding hit movies, culminating in the fantastic Mean Girls. And then it all unrivalled quicker than a River Island cardigan. It was as if she was taking all those cautionary tales about child actors and using them as a ‘Fame For Dummies’ manual.
When she wasn’t falling out of limos with her skirt hitched so high we could see her smiling at both ends, she was turning up at parties looking as though her eyes weren’t just dilated, but seceding from her face altogether.
Dogged by accusations of unprofessional conduct, and a sense of entitlement seldom seen outside of Kensington Palace, she found herself unable to secure a viable acting gig. Despite only being in her early twenties, she’d earned herself a reputation for being as unemployable as Jim Royle. For a while there was talk of Lindsay taking on the role of Linda Lovelace, in a biopic of the tragic performer with a capacious larynx. Sadly, the project went down quicker than its subject ever did, and once again Lindsay was left scrabbling round for something that would pay her mounting legal bills.
Lindsay just isn’t able to keep her nose clean, literally or figuratively, meaning that for the last few years, the only thing anyone’s seen her in is court.  It’s a shame really – if she was based in Vegas rather than LA, she’d have clocked up enough repeat performances to classify it as a residency. Celine Dion got a specially built colosseum for hers.
Custodial sentences and a spell under house arrest also failed in encouraging her to clean up her act, and last week she was hauled into court again for failing to show up for community service. Tough talking judge, Stephanie Sautner, dissed her errant charge, commenting “She is supposed to be an actress from what I hear”. Hasn’t she seen Herbie: Fully Loaded?

So where are her parents in all this? After all, she’s only 25 – even if she does look as though she’s got a couple of decades on that. Sadly, Michael and Dina Lohan, who make Josef Fritzl look like the model of effective parenting, have figured that they can make more money from selling their “My agony over Lindsay’s health” stories, than they can by actually getting their daughter clean and sober. Now that she’s an adult, they’re not eligible for a cut of her earnings.
Not to worry though. She might have left her bail hearing another $100,000 lighter, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, it’s a just another flashbulb. According to reports, Lindsay’s agreed to do a nude photoshoot for the legendary soft porn title for a cool million dollars.
There was a time when Playboy demonstrated its dominance of the pictorial self-help marketplace, by securing exclusive shoots with some of the world’s most famous and desirable women. Posing for provocative yet artistic photoshoots, the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Ursula Andress, Raquel Welch and Cindy Crawford undressed to impress, helping to make Playboy the undisputed top shelf champ.
But something’s changed. In the same way that fame has become a measure of notoriety, rather than actual celebrity, Playboy’s quest for cover stars is now plumbing the depths. Instead of immortalising the world’s most beautiful women, they’re settling for tabloid fodder and stunt casting. In recent years, Heidi Montag, Tara Reid and Paris Hilton have all made the front cover.
With teeth that look like a desecrated graveyard, and the pallid skin of an anaemic elephant, Lindsay is anything but pin-up material. Which makes this whole venture feel like a cynical and entirely unerotic exercise in ambulance chasing. In the 1940s, photojournalist Arthur Fellig became the progenitor of the modern paparazzi, by tagging along with New York’s emergency services and documenting crime scenes through the lens of his camera. As Lindsay’s life continues to fall apart in the glare of the spotlight, it’s not too hard to see the parallels.

celebrity halloween costumes

On the celebrity and pop culture-inspired Halloween costumes front, this blog has already provided a number of suggestions for both groups and couples.
Now it’s time to help those who prefer to fly solo on Oct. 31. With that in mind, here are 10 entertainment-inspired Halloween costumes for women, based on, among other things, characters from upcoming films, fairy tale heroines who have made a triumphant return to the zeitgeist and certain celebrities who recently appeared in L.A. courthouses.
The last in this series of posts — a list of celebrity and pop culture Halloween costumes for men — will be posted here soon.

(Kevin Winter - GETTY IMAGES)

Why not throw on a black, Cleopatra-like wig, a skin-tight striped suit and a shiny cast, then spend your Halloween sitting on a throne and belting out cover songs? It’s a surefire way to ensure that all the segues at your Halloween party run smoothly.
Beyonce revealing Sasha Fetus
<="" a="" height="288" width="454"> Man, this year’s Video Music Awards provided a plethora of Halloween costume ideas, didn’t they?
If you’re pregnant, here’s your perfect costume idea: Just don a glittery blazer and a pair of maternity pants, then drop that microphone and open up that jacket to show off “the love that’s growing inside” you. (Yes, you also can wear this costume with a fake baby bump. Not saying Beyonce did, but you can.)
Natalie Portman in “Black Swan”

(Niko Tavernise - AP)

Some intricately applied eye makeup, a poofy black tutu and the ability to convey that you’re teetering on the verge of insanity are all you need to transform into the fictional ballerina who won Portman her first Academy Award. Oh, and if you can sprout feathers, that would be a nice touch.
Melissa Leo’s For Your Consideration Ad

(Celebritology file photo via Awards Daily)

Go another Oscar-related route by re-creating supporting actress winner and f-bomb dropper Melissa Leo’s hotly debated (and mimicked) “for your consideration” ad campaign. All you need is a sparkly gown, a faux-fur stole, expertly applied makeup and a sign that says simply “Consider . . .” The only other person at the Halloween party who will understand your costume will be the one guy who subscribes to Variety, but at least the two of you will enjoy a spirited laugh.
Anti-hydrangea Madonna
Madonna has presented us with enough personas over the years — “Lucky Star” Madonna, “Material Girl” Madonna, Evita Madonna, maternal Madonna — to provide decades of Halloween material. This year, though, the only Madonna costume that makes sense is Anti-hydrangea Madonna, the persona she adopted — and, later, joked about in an online video — after receiving the flower she apparently loathes during the Venice Film Festival. A black-and-white ensemble, a cross necklace, one of the offending flowers and an expression of perplexed disdain will complete the look.
Lisbeth Salander

Before David Fincher’s adaptation of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” arrives in theaters, replicate Rooney Mara’s already much-buzzed-about appearance as the hard-as-nails hacker with the punk ’do, heavy eyeliner and multiple piercings. Unfortunately, the Lisbeth Salander clothing line at H&M doesn’t hit stores until December. But finding leather jackets and dark-colored T-shirts shouldn’t be too hard to pull off.
Katniss Everdeen from “The Hunger Games”

(Via EW)

Prefer to be a character from the upcoming film adaptation of this popular book series instead? Then make like Jennifer Lawrence as the plucky Katniss and grab a Mockingjay pin, a bow and some arrows.
Zooey Deschanel

(DANNY MOLOSHOK - REUTERS)

The darling of the fall TV season via her starring role in “The New Girl,” Deschanel is easy to emulate. Wear your girliest indie-cute dress, make those eyelashes look extra thick and long and, if possible, rig up your cellphone so it plays the “New Girl” theme every time you enter a room or visit a new trick-or-treating spot.
Lindsay Lohan

(POOL - REUTERS)

Like Madonna, Lohan has given us many looks to potentially copy. But go with the most recent — the overly formal, flouncy white dress matched with inexplicably heavy and bronze-y makeup, as worn to last week’s probation hearing. Want to convert this into a couples costume? Grab a broom and get a friend to go as a corpse — voila! Together, you are Lindsay Lohan doing community service at the L.A. County morgue.
Snow White
Sure, you could rely on a Halloween standard and go as the Disney version of Snow White. You know, this chick:

(Via Wikipedia)

But with the poison-apple-eater coming back in style, consider adopting the less, uh, animated and earthier look of Ginnifer Goodwin’s Snow White in “Once Upon a Time.”

(Kharen Hill - ABC)

Or go with the fully armored-up Kristen Stewart version, soon to be seen in “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Everyone will think you’re a female knight instead of a lovely housekeeper for dwarves. But that may make the costume all the more satisfying.

.Michael Jackson Celebrity Halloween Costumes

Michael Jackson Thriller Jacket

Captain Jack Sparrow and Tia Dalma! Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe! Edward Cullen and Bella Swan and Michael Jackson!  What do these characters have in common? They each make fun and fantastic celebrity Halloween costumes! One thing is for certain, people love their celebrities and dressing up at Halloween as their fave celeb is one “fan-atical” way to show their admiration.

Fans are an interesting demographic. They run the gamut from staying up to date on their favorite celebrity’s doings, watching anything they do avidly and perhaps reporting it on an Internet fan site they might create. Some are left to pine away in lonely isolation. And at the extreme, far end of this fantasy of admiration is out-and-out obsessive behavior that might include stalking. The desire to dress up in a celebrity Halloween costumes might look strange on any other day, but, in any case, Halloween becomes the perfect excuse for running around dressed up like someone you admire.

Here’s an interesting idea for your next Halloween party. A celebrity Halloween costumes contest can be a fun game to play at your big bash. Offer a prize for the costume that most closely resembles the celebrity being portrayed. Make it a voting contest where everyone gets a vote and the winner gets the pre-selected prize.
Let’s take a moment for fantasy. Let your imagination run wild. If you could be any celebrity for Halloween that you wanted to be, who would it be? If money were no object, would your celebrity Halloween outfit be:

Elvis The King Adult Halloween CostumeElvis Grand Heritage Adult Costume

Paris Hilton and her little dog, Tinkerbell?  Elvis, the King!
American Idol Sanjaya and his towering mohawk? America Ferrera’s Ugly Betty, complete with braces and poncho? The cops from Reno 911? Or Mickey Mouse? How about Al and Peg Bundy?
Or, for a more macabre twist, how about Eric Menendez—a celebrity of a different kind? Can you pull off Nick Nolte’s mug shot?
However your tastes run, finding the best celebrity Halloween costumes for your holiday celebration shouldn’t be too difficult. What you cannot find locally, you can probably find at some of the greatest online costume stores the Internet has to offer. So, don’t give up!

Jersey Shore – Nicole “Snooki” Adult Costume

Jersey Shore Nicole "Snooki" Guidette CostumeIf your celebrity Halloween costume is at all elaborate, it may take you sometime to gather all the components, so start planning early! You can go online to look at pictures of your celebrities or fantasy characters and examine their celebrity Halloween costumes. Make a list of the types of clothing and accoutrement used by your celebrity.
And don’t forget about props! Props are fun, so don’t skimp on them. Sometimes, they’re the only clue to your fantasy identity. After all, who would know Jason was without his hockey mask? Or Edward Scissorhands without his scissorhands?
When checking out complete costumes for sale, be sure to check for authenticity. Does it really look like your celebrity? Is the style something that your celebrity would be seen in? And what about those props? You can’t pull off Brittany Spears without the Fedora. Needless to say, your celebrity Halloween costumes should fit, so check size charts carefully.

Celebrities inspire Halloween costumes

Millions of Americans have stormed department stores, malls and seasonal emporiums this month on a quest for the perfect Halloween garb for trick-or-treating or, in the case of Southern Miss students, partying. Caricatures of celebrities such as Charlie Sheen, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are among the top trends this Halloween, according to a bevy of surveys across the "interwebs."
Since September, Spirit of Halloween, a year-round online retailer, has opened a total of 970 stores across the United States, including one location in Hattiesburg. Spirit acts as a seasonal branch of Spencer's, a nationwide chain specializing in novelty items and apparel.
The National Retail Federation reported that this year Americans are predicted to spend $2.5 billion on costumes alone. The NRF notes that $1.2 billion of that total will be spent on adult costumes.
So, what costumes are customers buying for Halloween 2011?
Although booted from Two and a Half Men earlier this year, actor and America's favorite train wreck, Charlie Sheen, is "winning" the race on this season's most purchased costume. Spirit  houses all supplies needed to impersonate the Sheenster—latex masks, sunglasses and shirts that say "Winning" or "Wild Thing" –Sheen's character's nickname from the sports classic, Major League.
Lady Gaga's "Little Monsters" are in luck this season. Ranging from her rubber, flesh-toned get-up from this year's Grammy Awards to 2009's Bad Romance VMA bloody crop top and hot pants, all of which are available for sale on the pop singer's website.
Another songstress making the rounds for Halloween is Amy Winehouse. After the loss of Winehouse this year, many are paying tribute to her by choosing to emulate the deceased soul singer by donning beehive wigs and assorted tattoos.
Snooki and the rest of the fist-pumping Jersey Shore cast are also a force to be reckoned with this Halloween. Various blogs have offered tutorials on tips for morphing into the orange-hued, teased poof train wrecks that live inside us all.
Thanks to the year's biggest sex scandal, Anthony Weiner, the former New York Congressman who sent inappropriate photos via sexting, is an alternative costume option for those who like to keep it political. Various online costume venders are offering a Weiner mask for $25, complete with a pair of blue boxer shorts and a "white-t."
InStyle.com offers users ideas for creating a grab-bag of celebrity costume "how-to's," including media figures Duchess Catherine and Prince William, Nicki Minaj and the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
As previously reported by The Huffington Post, a Kim Kardashian costume is available for consumers via BuyCostumes.com. The description on the online retailer's website lists the various "accessories" that accompany the Kardashian caricature.

Lindsay Lohan's father arrested again‎

Actress Lindsay Lohan's father jumped from a third-floor balcony Thursday to try to escape re-arrest, police said, but officers soon caught up with him and took him into custody -- again.
Officers detained Michael Lohan after his girlfriend, Kate Major, said he violated terms of his release from jail earlier this week by calling her, the Tampa Police Department said in a statement. Investigators arrested Lohan on suspicion of domestic violence after an incident on Monday night, but they let him out of jail after he posted bail.
Lindsay Lohan In this booking photo provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lindsay Lohan is seen in a mug shot October 19, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Lohan was arrested for probation violations and released after posting USD 100,000 bail.
Just after 1 a.m. Thursday, Lohan's girlfriend called police to say Lohan had violated the terms of his release by calling her, the police statement said. Lohan called his girlfriend again while she was talking with police, and she put him on speakerphone, it said.
After prosecutors authorized Lohan's re-arrest, officers went to a hotel, the Tahitian Inn, where he was staying.
"Upon seeing officers, he jumped out of a third-story balcony in an attempt to escape arrest," the police statement said.
Officers took him into custody after a short chase and discovered after taking him to jail that he may have broken his foot, police said. Doctors were evaluating him.
Lohan is not expected to be released from Tampa General Hospital Thursday and has been admitted for overnight observation, said Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis.
Police responded to a domestic violence call at Michael Lohan's home Monday and arrested him for the battery of his live-in girlfriend, police said.
Lohan told reporters Wednesday he "didn't lay a hand" on his girlfriend.
"I did not hurt her," he said.

According to CNN Tampa affiliate WFTS, a Sarasota County judge issued a temporary restraining order Tuesday.
Lohan, 51, was arrested in Los Angeles in March in connection with alleged domestic violence and was charged with one misdemeanor count of corporal injury to a cohabitant.
The relationship between Lohan and his daughter has been publicly strained for years, although the two did undergo family counseling together during her treatment at the Betty Ford Center.

Nicki Minaj most searched Halloween costume

Fashion critics hate her style, but the public loves it and wants it...for a Halloween costume at least.
MTV News reported the "Super Bass" singer is Google's most-searched celebrity Halloween costume.
She beat out Charlie Sheen, Captain America, Smurfette and FX's Wilfred (that dog that can talk to Elijah Wood) for the top honor, but on the overall list, she comes in at number four. Angry Birds is Google's most-searched Halloween costume, while Black Swan comes in at number two, and Playboy Bunny takes the number three spot.
